UVBI and Ozone Therapy

Integrative Wellness
Services at Better Life

Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation (UVBI) and ozone therapy are two integrative wellness modalities with histories stretching back many decades. Both involve working with the body's blood and circulatory system in different ways, and both are offered at Better Life Infusions by a team with specialty knowledge and experience in their administration.

These are not mainstream medical treatments. They are integrative wellness services. Whether they may be appropriate for your individual health situation is a conversation that begins with your intake assessment and, where relevant, should involve your primary healthcare provider. Our role is to educate, assess, and support, never to diagnose, treat, or make claims about what these therapies will do for any individual.

Ultraviolet Blood
Irradiation (UVBI)

Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation is a procedure in which a small volume of the patient's blood is drawn, passed through a device that exposes it to ultraviolet light at specific therapeutic wavelengths, and returned intravenously to the body. The procedure has been used in clinical and integrative wellness settings for decades and continues to be studied.

From an educational standpoint, ultraviolet light at specific wavelengths has known effects on biological materials, including the inactivation of certain pathogens in controlled laboratory settings. Researchers have also studied UV light's interactions with blood components and immune cell populations. However, individual responses to UVBI therapy vary, and we do not make claims about what this therapy will do for any particular person.

Areas of Interest Associated with UVBI in Wellness Settings

  • Integrative support for individuals managing chronic or recurrent infections, alongside medical care

Ozone Therapy

Medical ozone is a form of oxygen in which three oxygen atoms are bonded together rather than the usual two. In therapeutic settings, medical-grade ozone is introduced into the body using established clinical methods. At Better Life Infusions, the primary delivery method used is Major Autohemotherapy (MAH), in which a quantity of blood is drawn from the patient, mixed with medical-grade ozone in a closed sterile system, and reintroduced intravenously.

Ozone therapy has been the subject of research across multiple countries and clinical contexts. From an educational standpoint, ozone is understood to interact with biological molecules in ways that may influence oxidative signaling, immune modulation, and circulatory function. Individual responses vary considerably, and we do not make outcome claims for any individual patient.

Areas of Interest Associated with Ozone Therapy in Wellness Settings

  • Immune wellness and support during periods of heightened health demand
  • Circulatory and oxygen transport wellness
  • Integrative support for individuals managing chronic health conditions alongside their medical care
  • General wellness optimization for health-conscious individuals
  • Adjunct wellness support for recovery from illness or physical stress

Infusions Approach

UVBI and Ozone as a Combined Protocol

At Better Life Infusions, UVBI and ozone therapy are sometimes administered together as part of a combined wellness session, at the specialist's discretion and based on the patient's individual intake assessment. Many patients who pursue one of these services are interested in learning about the other. Our team will always discuss the rationale for any recommended combination and ensure you have the information needed to make an informed decision.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

UVBI has been used in clinical and wellness settings for many decades and is administered using established protocols. As with any wellness procedure, safety depends on proper technique, appropriate patient selection, and trained oversight. Our team conducts a thorough intake before any session and monitors every procedure from start to finish. We encourage you to discuss your full health history with us before proceeding.

There is no standard course. How many sessions, and how far apart, is discussed at intake and depends on what you are coming in for, your health history, and how you find the first session.

We will not commit you to a block of sessions up front, and you are free to stop at any point.

Yes, please do — and please tell us what they say. These are integrative wellness services rather than mainstream medical treatments, and your physician knows your full history and your medications.

If you are under active treatment for anything, we would much rather coordinate than work around it. We are happy to speak with your provider directly if that would help.
